Across the United States, Carmelite friars nurture faith communities in 33 parishes. When our friars first came to the United States in 1864, we worked in struggling parishes with German immigrants.
“The parish is the place where Jesus touches out lives through the sacraments… Jesus is the center of our lives.”
– Fr. Sylvan Boyle, O.Carm.
Today, in parishes stretching from Niagara Falls to Los Angeles we continue our pastoral work, serving today’s immigrants and helping all parishioners deepen their relationship with God and reach out to those in need.
