The Mount Carmel Spiritual Centre in Niagara Falls, Canada, offers an unparalleled view of the Horseshoe Falls and space for private retreats as well as participation in an ongoing program of retreats for women and men. The creative and searching programs help people dig deep into the spiritual well. Carmel Retreat is in the rolling hills of Mahwah, New Jersey, once a private home, now home to private retreats as well as a host of programs and events. From diocesan retreat days to parish programs to religious formation programs, people from all around the mid-Atlantic area find a place to reflect and refresh their spirits. Fittingly, the current chapel was called the "monastery room" by the original owners, who had an interest in the movie industry and sometimes used their home as a silent movie set.
