Rev. John F. Russell, O.Carm. (1934-2012) was one of the Carmelite Order's best-known scholars on St. Thérèse of Lisieux. In addition to the numerous books and articles he published over the course of his long career in academia, Fr. Russell was a Professor of Theology and Spiritual Director at the graduate school of theology at Seton Hall University. He was also served as the Prior Provincial of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Province of Carmelites.
