Jesus required a “yes” because being healed would change the man’s whole life. “Travelers cannot reach new territory if they do not take new and unknown roads and abandon the familiar ones.”(John of the Cross) What attitudes or habits do you want to “abandon” to “reach new territory” and experience new life?

Sr. Pat Parachini
Patricia A. Parachini, a Sister of the Holy Names, holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Catholic University of America. A pastoral theologian, educator and a spiritual director, Pat has ministered in a variety of contexts for over 40 years. In addition to her work as a spiritual director for lay and religious, and supervising seminarians in their ministry Pat is also an affiliate faculty member at Loyola University MD. She also writes reflections for the liturgical aid, Give Us This Day (Liturgical Press) and the Daily Disconnect for the Carmelites.net.
