Look around you. Take the time to consider exactly where you are at this moment. Breathe deeply and meditate on the fact that God knows you, right now, wherever you are. God is with you at this moment and sees you and knows the desires of your heart.
Take a deep breath and allow God's desires to fill your heart.
Exhale, and let go of your worries and those things to which you have been clinging and which may have gotten in the way of your relationship with God today. Take two more deep breaths.
One who was in this affliction heard from the Lord: "Don't be afflicted, either they will praise me or criticize you; and in either case you gain."
St. Teresa of Avila
Our only concern is with God as the center of our being; the praise or criticism of others need not have any affect on us. As you pray today, ask for the grace of singleness of heart.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
