Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.
“How I love this new commandment since it gives me the assurance that Your will is to love in me all those You command me to love.!” (Story of a Soul, 221)
St. Therese of Lisieux
Following the teaching of Jesus in today’s gospel, Therese was challenged to live the ONE commandment of love of God and love of neighbor, convinced that it would bring her close to the Kingdom of God. Pray today to see where you need to be challenged by Jesus’ teaching.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
