Sit straight in a chair in a comfortable position.
Breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale completely. Repeat three times.
Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using the words of this mantra, say slowly:
Lord have mercy...
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale completely.
You are simply trying to focus yourself to pay attention to your conversation.
Make to God the sacrifice of never gathering the fruit - to feel all your life a repugnance to suffering and humiliation, to see the flowers of your desires and good will fall to the ground without producing anything.
St. Therese of Lisieux
“Never gathering the fruit,” is a challenging grace to pray for. If you are unable to do that today, pray to seek only God’s desires for you.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
