Check in

Breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale completely. Repeat three times.
Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
What does that feel like? Look like?
Is it an image of peace? Is it an image of anger? Conflict? Love?
Using the words of this mantra, say slowly: ''maranatha'' which is the oldest Christian prayer (it means 'come, Lord'), in Aramaic, the language of Jesus, used by St Paul at the end of the First Letter to the Corinthians (16:22) and found in the earliest Christian liturgies. Repeat the mantra slowly to yourself for as long as it takes to put yourself in a prayerful state.

And here lies the remarkable delight of this awakening: The soul knows creatures through God and not God through creatures.

Delight in the true awakening that comes when you begin to see all creatures from God’s perspective, i.e. “through God.” As you pray today, be open to this new way of seeing - the beginning of a new way to live your life more fully.

Quiet yourself. Open your heart.

Take three deep breaths.

Disconnect and listen.

How long would you like to pray for?
