Breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale completely. Repeat three times.
Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
What does that feel like? Look like?
Is it an image of peace? Is it an image of anger? Conflict? Love?
Using the words of this mantra, say slowly: ''maranatha'' which is the oldest Christian prayer (it means 'come, Lord'), in Aramaic, the language of Jesus, used by St Paul at the end of the First Letter to the Corinthians (16:22) and found in the earliest Christian liturgies. Repeat the mantra slowly to yourself for as long as it takes to put yourself in a prayerful state.
The good God will do everything I wish in heaven, because I have never followed my own will on earth.
St. Therese of Lisieux
When we are aligned with God, and obey God’s will in all that we do, we are assured of receiving all that we long for, in heaven. As you pray today, ask that God’s will be done.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
