Check in

Breathe in deeply, hold it, and exhale completely. Repeat three times.
Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
What does that feel like? Look like?
Is it an image of peace? Is it an image of anger? Conflict? Love?
Using the words of this mantra, say slowly: ''maranatha'' which is the oldest Christian prayer (it means 'come, Lord'), in Aramaic, the language of Jesus, used by St Paul at the end of the First Letter to the Corinthians (16:22) and found in the earliest Christian liturgies. Repeat the mantra slowly to yourself for as long as it takes to put yourself in a prayerful state.

Conversation Topic

One should not think it impossible that the soul be capable of so sublime an activity as this breathing in God, through participation, as God breathes in her.
St. John of the Cross

Believe that nothing is impossible for God. As the Holy Spirit transforms and breathes into you new life, you participate in the very breath of God. Pray today for deeper faith. “I believe Lord. Help my unbelief.”
