Look around you. Take the time to consider exactly where you are at this moment. Breathe deeply and meditate on the fact that God knows you, right now, wherever you are. God is with you at this moment and sees you and knows the desires of your heart.
Take a deep breath and allow God's desires to fill your heart.
Exhale, and let go of your worries and those things to which you have been clinging and which may have gotten in the way of your relationship with God today. Take two more deep breaths.
Dryness is now the outcome of fixing the senses on subjects that formerly provided satisfaction.
St. John of the Cross
As the soul advances in the spiritual life, the soul learns that what once satisfied the senses, is now experienced as “dryness.” Pray today to be patient with this dryness and to fix your thoughts and feelings on God, who alone satisfies your deepest desires.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
