Put yourself in a comfortable position. Take several deep breaths.
Repeat to yourself: Do not be afraid.
Each time you exhale let go of those things about which you are worried or afraid.
Offer these worries to God, knowing that God's love is infinite.
Allow yourself to accept God's love and grace in return.
...love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you...be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Matthew 5:44, 48
In his prison cell, Bl. Titus Brandsma encouraged other prisoners to pray for their Nazi captors. As a Lenten practice today, fast from talking negatively or unkindly about those who disagree with you or have hurt you in any way and ask God’s blessings for them.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
