Breathe deeply and simply rest.
For a moment, do not think about what you must do later today.
Simply allow yourself to gather strength from God's love, to be replenished by God's mercy, invigorated by God's very presence.
Give thanks to God for this energizing love.
Contemplation is nothing else than a secret and peaceful and loving flow of God, which, if not hampered, fires the soul in the spirit of love.
St. John of the Cross
John invites all sincere souls who are seeking God to be open to the “loving flow of God” in contemplation. As you pray today, let God “fire (your) soul in the spirit of love.”
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
