Look around you. Take the time to consider exactly where you are at this moment. Breathe deeply and meditate on the fact that God knows you, right now, wherever you are. God is with you at this moment and sees you and knows the desires of your heart.
Take a deep breath and allow God's desires to fill your heart.
Exhale, and let go of your worries and those things to which you have been clinging and which may have gotten in the way of your relationship with God today. Take two more deep breaths.
The Holy Spirit, unable to express the fullness of his meaning in ordinary words, utters mysteries in strange figures and likenesses.
St. John of the Cross
The mystery of God cannot be accessed by logical discourse, but rather requires metaphoric language to help us begin to tap the depth of the mystery. Bow before God in your prayer today and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you with wisdom.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
