Check in

Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Be still
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.

As the soul grows deeper in love with God, its only desire is to be alone or engaged in the works that “benefit some soul.” In your prayer today, ask to desire God alone.

Quiet yourself. Open your heart.

Take three deep breaths.
