Breathe deeply and simply rest.
For a moment, do not think about what you must do later today.
Simply allow yourself to gather strength from God's love, to be replenished by God's mercy, invigorated by God's very presence.
Give thanks to God for this energizing love.
Softened and humbled by artidities and hardships and by other temptations and trials in which God exercises the soul in the course of this night, individuals become meek toward God and themselves and also toward their neighbor.
St. John of the Cross
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth!” (Mt. 5:5) As you pray today, ask for the virtue of meekness.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
