Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.

St. John of the Cross
Enter the mystery of God not through the intellect but through the darkness, where the soul approaches God in a “purer” and “simpler” way. Pray today for patience in your prayer, even if you are without light.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
