Check in

Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Be still
Be
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.

When was the last time I was alone without any sounds in the room for ten minutes or longer? On a scale of 0 (cannot tolerate) to 10 (very content) what is my comfort level with five minutes of complete silence?

Disconnect

Take three deep breaths.

Disconnect and listen.
