Look around you. Take the time to consider exactly where you are at this moment. Breathe deeply and meditate on the fact that God knows you, right now, wherever you are. God is with you at this moment and sees you and knows the desires of your heart.
Take a deep breath and allow God's desires to fill your heart.
Exhale, and let go of your worries and those things to which you have been clinging and which may have gotten in the way of your relationship with God today. Take two more deep breaths.
Were it not for the satisfaction God himself sometimes infuses, it would be a wonder if the soul through its own diligence could get any sensible gratification or consolation out of tis spiritual works and exercises.
St. John of the Cross
The only role we have in prayer is to be available to God’s gifts offered to us. Pray today for the grace of receptivity to what God has to offer you.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
