Check in

Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Be still
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.

Oh, how unfortunate the times and miserable the life in which we now live; happy are they whose good fortune it is to remain apart from the world.

To be immersed in the world, can distract us and pull us away from our deepest longings for God. Pray today, for the “good fortune” to be in the world but not “of” the world.

Quiet yourself. Open your heart.

Take three deep breaths.

Disconnect and listen.

How long would you like to pray for?
