Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.
Let them trust in the mercy of God and they will see how His Majesty brings them from the dwelling places of one stage to those of another and settles them where these wild animals cannot touch them, but where they themselves will bring all these animals into subjection and scoff at them.
St. Teresa of Avila
As you pray today, place your “trust in the mercy of God,” and rest there.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
