Look around you. Take the time to consider exactly where you are at this moment. Breathe deeply and meditate on the fact that God knows you, right now, wherever you are. God is with you at this moment and sees you and knows the desires of your heart.
Take a deep breath and allow God's desires to fill your heart.
Exhale, and let go of your worries and those things to which you have been clinging and which may have gotten in the way of your relationship with God today. Take two more deep breaths.
A person likes to remain alone in loving awareness of God, without particular considerations in interior peace and quiet and repose.
St. John of the Cross
Those called to contemplation desire to rest in God in “loving awareness,” needing nothing else to bring them to deep peace and stillness. Be led by the Spirit to that place of profound loving attentiveness in your prayer today.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
