Put yourself in a comfortable position that will allow you to concentrate and feel calm. Breathe in deeply, hold it, exhale completely. Repeat three times. Relax. Visualize yourself in God's presence.
Using Psalm 46:10, say slowly:
Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Repeat a few times.
Relax and breathe in deeply, hold it and exhale completely.
You are trying your best just to be with God.
Abide in peace, banish cares, take no account of all that happens, and you will serve God according to his good pleasure and rest in him.
St. John of the Cross
Reminiscent of psalm 62, “Only in God is my soul at rest”, John invites us to let go of all our concerns - giving ourselves over to service of God. Simply rest in God, as your pray today.
Quiet yourself. Open your heart.
Take three deep breaths.
Disconnect and listen.
How long would you like to pray for?
