Meet Our Newest Men in Formation

August 28, 2011 |

The Carmelite Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary welcomes the incoming men into our formation program.

At Whitefriars Hall in Washington, DC

Anthony Armstrong: “Hi. I’m originally from London and was in the British Province of Carmelites for nearly 8 years until 2004. I lived here in DC in 2002/03 doing Carmelite Studies and met a number of you at the time. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the next year.”

Nepomuk Willemsen: “My name is Rolf Nepi Willemsen. I am from Germany, having studied with the Carmelites there, and now have just moved to DC in order to start with the PCM Province at Whitefriars Hall. It’s good to be back in Carmel! I am looking forward to meeting all of you.”

At Carith House in Chicago, IL

Jarrett Steffen: “Originally from Seattle, WA, I grew up in Western New York. I have recently graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a BA in Philosophy. In good Millennial fashion, my first experience of Carmel was via the internet, but I have received a much more personal and warm welcome into the Order since. Thanks!”

Mark Sexton: “I was born and raised in small town located in the Adirondack mountains in upstate NY. A graduate from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, I moved to Tampa, Florida. I enjoyed a career in e-commerce system design in the insurance and banking industries. Coming to Carmel has been like being a sparrow among flocks of robins, bluebirds and cardinals, now finally finding the home roost.”
